Having a secret Blog post writing method is not meant to be a boast or a feeding of my ego. It is a way of writing Blog posts that helps me put them together in an organized and straightforward way. Here is my method.
Lets start with a short summary of my Blog post writing method as follows.
* Blog Headline
* Introduction
* Blog Post Body
* Summary
The headline of a Blog post is the most important part. A reader makes up their mind in seconds whether they are going to stay or leave a Blog. A headline needs to grab the reader and stimulate their interest to want to read more. It has to be honest yet made to catch attention at the same time. A good headline can determine if a Blog is going to be read or not.
Putting some effort into a Blog headline pays off. Studies show that within a few seconds a reader decides whether he is going to stay on the page or click away. Writing a good Blog headline helps ensure the rest of the Blog is read.
The introduction uses many keywords used in the headline. The introduction tells the reader what they can expect in the rest of the post. It is meant to be like a warm greeting from a friend. Short, nice, and not too long.
The Blog post body is where all the action happens. Good solid content is offered here to make sure the reader “sticks” around. For example solve a problem, give a tip or two, or blog about something your readership likes. One method I like to use is the state the problem, give the solution method. It goes like this.
* State problem
* Discuss the problem
* Give solution to the problem
The body of an article is informative, contains facts and figures, supports the Blog headline , and gives the reader a satisfying feeling their time is well invested in the reading the Blog post.
A Blog post summary restates what you already said throughout the Blog. Don’t introduce new material here. Use this section to make a summary of the main points in the Blog.
So there are my secret Blog writing tips in a nutshell. Oh, one more thing , I ask myself when writing a Blog post a very specific question. It is this. “Will this Blog post in some way contribute to the readers understanding of the subject I am blogging about? If the answer is yes, I click publish, and its out there in the blogosphere for all to see.
